Established in 1978, Benfield Control Systems is a reliable go-to electrical contractor for commercial builders, home builders, property managers, and homeowners. They employ hundreds of electricians who specialize in reliability, quality, safety, integrity, and responsiveness.
Benfield was moving to a new space just north of the Bronx and needed an office design plan for their operational support staff, a team of 56 people. Our used office furniture Brooklyn born specialist Aron visited the client on-site and surveyed the possibilities. He was extremely taken with the architecture of the old industrial era building and its renovations, and was excited to have a hand in the office furnishings.
Given the scope of their project and the value proposition of our pre-owned office furniture options, they decided to purchase our gently used cubicle inventory of Herman Miller Canvas workstations.
The L-shaped cubicles were a perfect match given their 6’ x 6’ footprint and 53” panel heights. It’s exactly what was needed to fit the square footage available, give adequate privacy, and allow the natural light to shine through the beautifully large warehouse windows. 3 of the stations were manager cubicles and therefore custom sized larger than the rest.
The red fabric accent panels and the glass wing panels only added to their appeal. Each workstation included a 2-drawer pedestal file cabinet and panel integrated paper management system rails.
A great cubicle design for a great building, and a great client.
