CDM Smith was founded in 1947 and is a privately owned firm that provides worldwide engineering and construction services and smart solutions in water, environment, transportation, energy, and facilities. Celebrating 75 years of trajectory, this firm is inspired to think and driven to solve the world’s environmental and infrastructural challenges. 

They hired us to provide new office furniture and space planning services for their office space in Columbia SC.  

The office furniture design we provided was based on their day-to-day workspace needs. They required lots of desktop surface per person, and we solved this by using a combination of L shaped and U-shaped desks. We placed L and U-shaped cubicles in the open office space with overhead bins, and executive U-shaped desks and hutches with glass doors in the offices.

The soft office color palette selected for the desk configurations, conference room tables, training room tables, and breakroom tables, make this office environment an inviting and calm place to concentrate on work.
